Bridge Fold Card & Embossed Vellum - Facebook Live Class

 Hello, my joyful friends!  Every Thursday at 11 AM ET I go live on The Joyful Stamper Facebook Page.  Everyone is invited for a half hour of stamping fun!  I'll post the replay and project sheet below for today's Happy Half Hour projects after the Live is over.

I pulled out a bunch of items from the Snowflake Splendor suite, found on page 37 of Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini catalog.  It feels somewhat odd to be "playing with snow" when it's still in the 80s, but there are just far too many pretty things in this suite to wait!

This bridge fold came from my team leader Lyssa Zwolanek of Song Of My Heart Stampers.  It's another simple fun fold AND it folds flat to easily mail in a standard A2 envelope!  A2 envelopes are the ones that fit a 4-1/4"x5-1/2" folded card.

 This is the back of the card.  There's plenty of room to either decorate with more stamping or write a message.

Here's a top view of the bridge fold card.  I love that it can stood upright for display by the recipient.  You can also see how I slightly curled the snowflakes to give them more dimension.

This is the second project in my Happy Half Hour Facebook LIVE stamping class.  Have you ever run vellum cardstock through your machine with an embossing folder?  WOW!  Instant elegance!

The embossed parts turn whiter, which adds to its sophistication and unique effect.  I also LOVE this framed die from So Many Snowflakes Dies.  I stamped on the leftover inner piece of DSP, then used a Stitched Nested Labels Dies to create a sentiment piece.  It's great to use up every scrap of that beautiful Snowflake Splendor paper!

As a final touch, I stacked stamped and die-cut snowflakes in Pool Party and Misty Moonlight.  The iridescence you see on the gem is not edited in - it's real, straight-from-the-camera!  The Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems have many facets and offer BIG sparkle no matter which way your card it turned.
