Magic In This Night Halloween Popcorn Wrapper

Bags of microwave popcorn have unexpectedly proven to be popular Halloween treats the past couple years I've given them.  Of course, I can't just toss them into the adorable trick-or-treaters' bags as is - I'm a paper crafter and if it can be packaged prettily, I will do it!  I showed how to make this popcorn wrapper using Stampin' Up!'s Magic In This Night suite in my Facebook Live class this past Thursday.

The wonderful thing about this packaging is that it uses up your patterned paper stash.  Each wrapper requires a 10"x6" piece.  You don't need to score the paper - it's actually easier to just wrap it around and slightly pinch the edges.  Use Tear N Tape on the paper ends to adhere it together.

The label (cut from Whisper White cardstock and the largest label die in the Halloween Magic die set) gave me the opportunity to try a technique I saw recently on Stampin' Up!'s Instagram account.

🕷🕸Multi-Embossing Technique: The spider image (from Hallows Night Magic stamp set) was stamped in Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Stampin' Emboss Powder, then melted with a Heat Tool.  Next, run the label through your Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine (see my Cut & Emboss promotion below) with the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder.  Now slip a Sponge Dauber on your finger and apply Pretty Peacock ink in gently circles.  Once you've layered on the color you want, buff the piece with a paper towel.  The ink will be removed from the spider images and they'll pop through the cobwebs.  For an extra touch, I flicked Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends over the piece.

The Metallic Mesh Ribbon looks just like a silvery, fine spider web!  The spiders were stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on Cajun Craze cardstock and die-cut with the Halloween Magic dies.  Their little bodies each have an Iridescent Pearl on them.
