WOW Die-Cutting Tip For Intricate Dies

An easier way to die-cut intricate dies and not have to poke out tiny paper pieces

There are some beautiful dies in my online store.  Some are fancy with lots of lovely little details.  Those details are why we love them so much, but you're right.  Poking out every.last.paper.piece is a chore!  Sure, you could use the Take Your Pick Tool but I discovered an easier solution years ago.  And the solution is found in your laundry area!

Add an unused dryer sheet to your die-cutting machine sandwich before running it through and watch how those little paper pieces cling to the sheet as you peel away the die-cut!

Every machine's specific sandwich is different, but the gist of this tip is to place your cardstock on top of the dryer sheet, then lay the die on top of the cardstock.  It really works.  I've been using this tip for years!

This dryer sheet trick has been a game changer in using these Ornate dies in particular.  I cut, peel off the die-cut cardstock, and the tiny paper pieces stay behind.

Bonus Tip: because the pieces stick so well to the dryer sheet, you can use them to fill in the die-cut cardstock for a fantastic stained glass look! Imagine filling in the flowers in the Borders dies with the different colors of cardstock left behind on the dryer sheet!
